Dodge Chrysler released the current version of the Dodge Charger years ago. However, consistently throughout the years they never fail to disappoint their loyal following with a higher performance version than the previous year. It all began with the SRT’s upgraded 5.4L V8, followed by an upgraded 6.2L V8, followed by the SRT Hellcat supercharged 6.2L V8! In 2020 Dodge released their Widebody Charger SRT Hellcat with 707 horsepower. This year in 2021, Dodge has released yet again a faster sedan, now with 797 horsepower and claims the title of the worlds fastest sedan with a top speed of over 200 miles per hour. The 2021 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye.

This year, the top-of-the-line Dodge Charger comes with a roaring 797 horsepower, 707 pound-feet of torque and a ludicrous top speed of 203 miles an hour. This means that from the factory, this vehicle can run a quarter mile drag race in just 10.6 seconds. It is no wonder this has been dubbed the fastest sedan in the world.

In tandem to the vehicles massive, supercharged engine, this year Dodge has made some key changes to improve the vehicle’s powertrain. Beginning with the hood. Remaining in a similar style to models previous, dodge increased the size of the functional hood scoop in order to increase the intake of air needed for such power. Secondly, they added a component and feature called the “power chiller.” The Power Chiller is a feature that uses the air conditioning system to cool off the supercharger between high intensity intervals. This feature is ideal for days at the drag strip, or full confidence at any stoplight. Street racing this vehicle, or any vehicle is not recommended, or Legal. However, the factory 2021 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye specs out as a vehicle designed for the drag strip, yet sold with all-season tires and backseats ready for a child’s car seat…

Taking a break from this vehicles award winning specs; the new Dodge Charger sports a familiar interior design to its predecessors. This includes the same comfortable bolstered seats wrapped in premium leather, the same touch-screen infotainment system and the same unique keyless functionalities dodge customers have come to love. All in all, the interior of this vehicle has not changed from last years model.

That being said, customers of this vehicle are not looking for more quirks, features and luxuries. Those who justify the purchase of this vehicle are much more interested in the drive and experience. Dodge provides a great feature in their infotainment system to enhance this experience. It is the SRT button.

This feature will give the driver a live feed of different gauges powertrain and drivetrain related. As well, this program allows the driver the ability to change exactly how the car drives; stiffness of the suspension, exhaust control, launch control, various driving modes and of course an economic mode for when you do not need 797 horsepower at your fingertips.

Final thoughts…

Dodge has done it again, they put more power into a factory-made sedan than ever before. The dodge hellcat has been the market leader for drag race competitive vehicles that can also be a comfortable daily driver. OUT OF THE BOX. A full-sized sedan capable of seating five people, infotainment system, sound system, trunk full of room and, oh yea, it has a top speed of OVER 200 MPH! This years 2021 Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye achieves the industry standard for their interior features and amenities, however dodge has outdone themselves yet again sticking in more power and claiming the WORLD’s FASTEST factory sedan.
